Agree. Hard to say with any accuracy when they are taken out of context and that context can make all the difference. Can you link to the source? The quality of the source often tells you what the value of their info is.

Yes, like Stevie said, molasses use is well proven as a soil supplement but it isn't a fertilizer. At best one could say it feeds the many soil residents who then feed on the compost in the soil, poop it out and the poop can fertilize the plants. Sort of a "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game. :-) So there are better ways to accomplish the same thing.

The aspirin stuff has all sorts of grandiose claims made about it but so far it doesn't hold up under any controlled scientific testing. The only "evidence" is personal claims/opinions.

Baking soda can help control (not cure) many fungal diseases simply because it increases to alkaline range the pH of the leaf surface and makes it harder for the spores to reproduce as they thrive best within a narrow pH range. But that in no way makes it the best or even one of the better methods to use.

So for me the real question is why you think you might need or use these or just curious?
