Help needed with gallery wall

There is something about this wall that bugs me. This is in my sunroom and is the only wall space I have, the rest is windows. The sewing machine is a family treasure and believe it or not the only place in my whole house that I can showcase it. The pictures also stay. But I am unsure of the plant and the decorative accessories on the sewing machine as well as the black ledges on the wall. Do I need to paint them to soften things? Should I add more to the wall or is too busy already. I'm also including other pictures of the room so you can see the whole layout and color scheme.

The wall looks very busy- try working with just the photos. Once you get that right it will be easier to decide on the sewing machine
    decor.

Here are more photos that show the gallery wall in relation to the rest of the room.

Either get rid of the ledges or rise the lowest ledge so the largest frame is resting on it (like the other one next to it is). That means remove the little accessories. Doing that will allow the plate to breathe. It's too crowded right there.

Get rid of the other tiny accessories on the table sewing too. They're just creating noise.

PS...the lamp in the corner is going. Thinking of this as a replacement.

For me, it's the middle ledge holding the shadow box with the medals that's bugging me. I think the frame is too big for the ledge. Why don't you try switching it with the smaller picture in the top right that has the white mat. You should be able to hang the shadow box directly on the wall. If you do that you may need to raise the middle ledge to avoid too much blank wall space above it. I also think you should lose either the plant or the round plate on top of the sewing machine. One or the other. I really like the blue paint, antique sewing machine and the puppy. ;-)

You are very close. I think your plant needs a colored pot- black, terracotta or a teal would be fun. Everything on the table is beige. Other than that it seems fine. I am wondering if the lack of window treatments is the real issue. The room seems stark- adding a panel to the window will change the look completely.

Within the framework of this nice setup, I'd take some of the things off of the sewing machine so that they don't block that bottom of the wall's 3 black ledges, which I like by the way. I'd take the photos off the wall for a second, maybe transfer some small plants or knickknacks to the ledges, and use the space freed up to have more small frames of many of these photos more spaced out around the ledges on the wall. I like the trimming and wall colors, but you can't see much of the wall and the trimming does not stand out because of so much distraction from the cluttering of pictures. Nice rug, sofa set, and dog! :)

Love the pooch! I think the ledges are making it look too heavy plus there are too many photos for the space giving it kind of a busy feel as compared to the clean lines of the walls and windows.

I don't like to wood trim around the door or the windows. I don't like the sewing(??) table under the photos it doesn't fit in that location. And I don't think the the ledges work.

Order my book on Houzz, The Fine Art of Wall Design. Here I explain how to arrange art.
