Pickled Lemons/Limes

Has anyone tried these? I've been browsing "The Joy of Pickling" and found this recipe. Personally, I would probably slice them and eat them as is, since I love anything sour. It says that it's an old New England tradition. The book says they are good with fish and pork. Lori

Never tried them as they don't sound at all appealing to me even tho I really like most all the recipes in that book. If you decide to do it let us know what you think of them.

I made watermelon rind pickles a couple years ago. You're supposed to bag the lemons so they don't get into the jars, but I left them in big pieces and fished them out. I put them in jars in the fridge and ate them instead of discarding them. Very very tasty.
