Backsplash for kitchen?

I am trying to select a backsplash tile for my first, and last, new home. The countertops (and island and bar) are Fantasy Brown Marble, the cabinets are knotty alder with classic fruitwood stain, and the floor will be dark hand scraped wood. Because the counters are relatively busy, I think a solid backsplash would work best. I have some glass subway tiles in white and pewter (light gray). I m concerned that the glass tiles are too contemporary for this relatively rustic/traditional home. Can anyone make suggestions?

Forgot to mention that walls are agreeable gray.

Find a solid color tile with zero pattern, zero sheen. The mood grain and stone counters have enough going on.

A simple MATTE white subway tile, 2 x 8 , or 3 x 6 , or 4 x 12 white grout. No bevels. Rather like...........

You have a warm toned fairly rustic kitchen that needs no over the top embellishments , only serving to take it out of character from your original intent. Simple is very beautiful. You have gloss in the granite, warmth/texture on the floor and in the cabinetry. Tis plenty !!
