Hello All,

I am trying to figure out if I should go with a chimney style range hood or one that mounts under the Microwave cabinet. We have a an LVL going across the wall by the ceiling so we are unable to vent horizontally then shoot upwards. If we go with hood that mounts under the cabinet we would need to frame\drywall a box above for the ductwork to go into. I do not want to build a soffit around the top of all the cabinets because I feel like it would close off the kitchen. Let me know your which you would prefer. Thanks.
