If you placed the bench on the other side, you might have more room on that side and then you could add a wall of narrow shelving around the window. Other than that, perhaps wallpaper would make it feel more filled in.

Some simple enameled wainscoting that would go under the window and flank the sides would be nice. I would bring the wainscoting up about half way up the window. This would add detail across the entire wall. Put a simple detail on the top, plate rail, etc..

HI -- Find a nice wallpaper ... it adds lots of interest and doesn't take up any room. That's all you need .

I like the wainscoting idea very much, but maybe some plant material for a less expensive option. Switch the chairs and bench back, then add shallow plant boxes under the window? You could have one long one or more than one arranged in any configuration that appeals to you. Good luck!
