When your living there, focus on window finishing a inside the house and make sure they look uniform to the outside. Different window shades can make a house look awful from the outside. I would also repaint the basketball pole. It sitting there rusting makes the property look less desire able as its an easy fix thats been looked over. Last thing would be focus on the garage door, window shutters and trim and try to get them to match or go together. Garage door matches trim but window trim and shutters don't. I would either change the garage door to match shutters or vice versa. :)

If you paint the garage door a dark charcoal color, you will have a "black hole."

I would trash the shutters. They are clearly non-functioning and break up the facade a lot. Some foundation plantings around the front and the light post would be nice. Then you can add perennials and annuals as the growing seasons permit. That blue spruce by the front door is going to quickly outgrow that spot by the door. You may want to move it while it is easy.

Paint the garage door and trim a light color to blend with the siding. Do keep that white strip that separated upper and lower levels charcoal gray. Charcoal gray shutters. Spruce up landscaping and yes move the pine far away for the house ASAP. They grow immensely tall. If you keep it there it will overtake the house, look sloppy and could cause problems with the basement foundation.

I would paint the lintel above the first floor window the house color to make it disappear,and mostly concentrate on landscaping to soften the look.

Agree to paint lintel. Hard to see all the little items. Can't tell if there is an actual overhang between levels.

i like the color of the garage door and trim. as others mentioned, move the blue spruce to the backyard, far from the house, before it damages the foundation.
create a very large, deep perennial and shrub bed. a semi-circle around the lamp post from the driveway to the container with red plants. then extend left across the front of the house. talk with local nurseries about native palnts. i'm picturing encore azaleas (bloom spring and fall and they're evergreen for summer /winter color).add colorful perennials. be aware of sun requirements.
