What style are you going for?

Contemporary - although the house is 1930's .

Think about how you want it to feel? When is it used? Who uses it? All the family including children? Do you want it to be relaxing, more energised? Once that is decided it is far easier to then think about which colours to go for. I work as a colour consultant so colour is my speciality. The other thing you need to consider is you need colours that will harmonise with your tiling too, but the other questions need answering first!:) If you need any further help please feel free to message me. I would paint it a grey with a brown quality then see what the floor looks like with it.... You might not have to change it.
If you do change it then I would try to find a limestone look tile that will compliment the wall tiles and also get rid of the skirting, instead tiling the same height up the wall as the skirting was

As others have suggested, it's helpful to get idea of the style and colours you like and would like to work.
With my clients I would also take into account the other rooms that join this one and the light levels etc. Good luck and I would love to see the finished design.

Hi Katy, I personally think that in order to give importance to your nice tiles in the shower you should paint the walls in a light grey colour. Farrow and Ball has nice greys ( strong white or ammonite). I would also paint the ceiling in the same colour as the walls; it will look look bigger. In regards to the floor I would lay a grey rectangular tile mat finish with a bit of texture but quite simple. If you want to add some touches of colour do it in the accessories like soap dispenser, towels etc... I hope this helps. Good lick with your project :)
