I have had this Epi for quite a few years and it has always performed so well. One of my favorites.
This past winter pads have dried back and died. This did not concern me, as most of ours will drop pads and grow new ones. For some reason on this particular plant there seems to be more than normal dying off. On one of the pads there is now a soft area and it looks as though it is going to go.
The plant is very root bound (which I always thought they liked), but I am wondering if root bound can become an issue after awhile?
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciate. Have secured and callusing some pads just in case.

Thank you in advance.
