I would continue the blue into the kitchen. Then when you're ready to paint the cabs to match the remainder of the home's trim, you'll have a great blue and white palette!

To some extent is depends on how light you want your kitchen. I have the same cabinets also with white trim. I have a soft creamy beige with just enough color to bring out the trim. There is a picture in my "my pics" idea book. It appears you like bolder colors, so you might find the creamy beige to light for your taste.

Also, no need to paint your cabinets, especially as oak does not paint particularly well. There are many examples of wood cabinets with white trim. The white trim adds brightness while the wood keeps it warm.

There are so many options for your kitchen it's hard to pick a color for you. Clearly you like a lot of color in your home. Carrying the blue over, as mentioned above, is one easy idea. Personally, I'd paint it white enamel. That would make it easy to clean, brighten the room (which seems a little dark, although that might just be the photo), and provide a lot of contrast with the cabinets and appliances.
