Go through photos on here and pick out things to put in an "Ideabook", then ask a designer to tell you what style those images are. Also, Modern is a style but it doesn't mean the style that is happening now. Modern was style that started in the 20s through part of the 60s at least (which encompassed mid-century modern), and then came post-modern.

I tend to look at design as I would politics...not necessarily going adhering to a style, but picking out individual pieces I like. For instance, my mother thought all "modern" furniture/interiors was cold...glass, steel and black leather. That isn't the case, and I showed her some things that were warm, inviting, etc., but had super clean lines. She loves that style now even though she originally had Queen Anne/traditional furniture.

I would just start browsing houzz photos and put what you like in ideabooks. You will probably start to see some themes and the photo info will help you figure out what your style is called.

This is exactly what the Houzz photo section and creating ideabooks are for. Browse the photos on Houzz and put those you like into an ideabook. After you've accumulated quite a few, try to see what features they have in common or what style tends to dominate. Then you can research that style (or styles) more to see if it might fit in your house.

I peeked at your idea book, lots of kitchens. You have chosen many traditional, farmhouse, cottage style kitchens. Mostly white shaker style doors, many of the cabinets have inset doors and drawers (very vintage farmhouse). They all have very feminine attributes as well. Keep browsing the photos and keep adding them to your ideabook. Use some of the keywords like vintage farmhouse or cottage, to see what jumps out at you.
