Since my dog figured out how to kill them, I haven't had any rats. Unfortunately she hasn't figured out gophers.

Ah, Pepe la pew. I have a semi pet possum that trundles through my yard nightly, looking for moths in the grass and anything edible I have thrown out for him over the wall.

ha, now that you mention it, I guess that is a stripe and not just sun. lol. yeah I hope my dog doesn't go after one of those. Although they have mosied up to the front door to take a peak inside. Skunks can be extremely friendly. There's one in my buddies neighborhood that goes around begging for head scratchies. It'll walk up onto the porches where people are sitting and stamp and drop it's head until you pet it.

I have observed what I thought was overly friendly behavior in a skunk and thought it was rabid. Glad to know they are tolerant of humans and not just PO'd all the time.

We have daily visits from both Skunks and Foxes both around dusk. Yesterday the skunk was already feeding on left over bird feedings when the fox arrived, they saw each other at the same time and the skunks tail shot up and the fox thought he should come back later, I was surprised at how fast he could move.
