What is the countertop made of? It looks like marble. Or is it Quartz/granite?

    Will honed calcatta show significantly less etching than polished? I would like to use calcatta in my new home but I have polished in my current home and even though I am extremely careful and our kitchen is not busy it is badly marked and looks awful.
