Zucchini yellowing - help!

last modified: 10 years ago

I started my vegetable seedlings indoors a few weeks ago, and now since it's warm out I've begun transferring them outside. Granted, I wasn't very good about acclimating them to the outdoors other than keeping a fan on them at all times to help with air circulation and they've been under a pretty strong light for 14-16 hours a day. I transferred my zucchini and have been checking on it only to discover that it's turning yellow! What happened?! It seemed very sudden, the first few days it was outside it was fine and then the 3 or 4 day I checked on it looked like this. This is also happening to my peas and cucumber. Are they sunburnt? Are they drowning? I had mixed compost into the dirt, but I wondered if there weren't enough nutrients so I mixed in some fertilizer after I saw my vegetables looking like this. Will they live?!
