In our new construction (being framed now), we had originally planned for a fireplace. Now, we have decided not to get a fireplace. But the wall behind the fireplace has been framed and we do not want it to be taken out because of the planned built-in next to it.

The wall where the fireplace would have been, is where we will have wall mounted TV. What do you all suggest we do with that space behind the wall? We have thought of couple of ideas:

1. Make it a central wire location for all low voltage, security, speaker setup etc (although I do not know how much space I will have to walk around in there once all equipment is plugged in).
2. Put a large roll-out cabinet with shelves, for storage

The access for any storage or pull out ideas will be from the left (as the built-in will be on the right).
