We are planning to update our kitchen, but not sure what to do with our cabinets. They are currently honey oak, which is the same colour that is throughout our entire upstairs of our home, including fireplace mantel and spindles on stairs in living room. Would like to refinish the kitchen cabinets in a different colour, stain or paint, but not sure what color to go with? Also not sure if it would look awkward to change the color of them without changing the rest of the upstairs to match, which we really don't have the time or money to do at this point. We also plan to put in granite countertops, and new backsplash, so want to make sure that we are doing the right thing with the cabinets if we plan to put the extra money into the countertops! Any suggestions would be great!
