We moved into this house over a year ago. During the spring and summer of last year, we had it on a schedule. the winter came and i shut it off with a periodic run every now and then. i go to pre-run some stations a couple of weeks ago and I'm only able to get 1 & 3 to work. 2, 4, 5 & 6 do not turn on. There's no main box but i've found 3 valve boxes for 1, 2 & 3. i can get all 3 to work if i manually turn the solenoid (though 1 & 3 worked from the hunter controller box anyways). I open the back of the hunter controller box and see this (see photos). the previous owner has no paperwork for anything (the owners before them installed it) and he does not know where the other valve boxes are or if there's a main box for anything since I've found 3 valves, i would assume there's no MAIN box for anything and they're all seperate. i've never opened up the hunter controller so i don't know if all 6 should have red wires. coming from as far down in the ground i can see are only 5 red wires and 2 white yet previously, 6 stations would work. shouldn't there be 6 wires? one for each station?. there's a loose white wire that i do not know where it was previously clamped to? I would guess since i was able to manually turn on station two (that station does not work from the hunter controller box), it could be a bad solenoid. bad thing is, i don't know where the other valve boxes are. would they normally be in some type of straight line from each other? station one was in the front yard a couple of feet away from one of the sprinkler heads IN station one. valve box for 2 & 3 were both right next to each other and both of those stations have heads near by. box 2 & 3 were in a straight line down the side of my house.
