Contact the seller to ask what the problem is and how to handle it. then make a decision: Keep it or return it.

I can't get the seller to respond to numerous voicemails and emails. I felt just awful about asking, but today, since I wasn't getting anywhere, I finally broke down and asked about a refund & return. Hopefully they will respond.

Looks like an eriophyid mite infestation. Please don't feel bad about asking for a refund. I think you should share with us the name of the company, you are allowed to do so in these forums.

I'll say this....that plant should never have been shipped in that condition. That's not your fault, but theirs.

That's not a bad suggestion - so that others don't have to go through all the headache I have been dealing with. I'll give them until Friday & continue with the daily emails and voicemails. If they continue to not respond or don't do a refund, I'll post their name. I think that's fair, yes?

Did you look up the reviews of this company....maybe even the Garden Watchdog?

garden watchdog is a good resource. yes, i vetted them first there & then by online recommendation.

ok - I give up trying to work with the vendor - since they never returned any of my calls or emails...

I purchased these 2 grafted persimmons from Just Fruits & Exotics.

Update: the 2 persimmons did not survive. Ended up getting a refund through my credit card company, which Just Fruits & Exotics did not give me a hassle about, for which I am grateful.
