It looks really good so far! I think it would look a lot more fresh and inviting with a new paint colour. Maybe a crisp or antique white or a very light grey?

Thank you! I think maybe hanging photos or artwork above the bed would be good! As long as they are not to big and over powering to the small space. Also I forgot to mention, adding some lovely cushions to the bed would be good (maybe that match the artwork and the rest of the room, so greens and blues)

Love the bedspread! Think about painting the mirror frame with the accent color. I would hang the mirror above the bed. Looks like a nice guest room.

The peacock framed picture would look nice over the dresser. Maybe add some color to your accent chair.

I love the light grey idea for the walls. Possibly change the lamp on the dresser to grey or black. I would open the curtains or hang them outside the window to let in more light. This room is really nice you did a great job.

You have some great color going in this space already. Love the bedding. The walls are a nice neutral color.

Here are some suggestions for art that goes with your color scheme.

Thanks for the artwork suggestions Angelina Vick. I like the idea of keeping the artwork simple but colorful to bring the room together. Do you think the white mirror stays or goes? And is that zebra chair out of place, or does it add to the room?

The chair looks too small in scale for the room. What about turning the chest to face the bed on the right side of the wall and then placing a long upholstered bench to its left with the mirror over it. That way guests have some place to drop their bags and packages and also to sit on to put on their socks and shoes. I can't tell if the curtains are turquoise or a different shade of blue. But once you move the chest off the side wall, you can hang your curtains from the top of the wall down on the outside of the windows. You'll need 96" length and consider a white/ivory to balance out all the white in the bedspread. If you don't like the gap between the ceiling and trim, install a short bamboo roman blind to finish the look. I'd leave your wall color or lighten it by cutting with white 25-50%, but I wouldn't introduce a gray as it ties to nothing else, the current wall color beautifully echos the carpet. If you decide you want a lighter shade, stay in the same tones. Add a throw blanket in a aqua/turquoise/choclate patten across the end of the bed to break up the expanse of white and give your guests extra warmth if fhey need it, As to wall decorations, I'd remove the stars. They say Texas and Americana but your bedspread and side table are more glamorous. Take your time finding a piece of art for over the bed and maybe over the chest. Check ZGallerie's line up for art in a variety of styles with some aqua or turquoise to see what appeals to you. They have the high end glamour look in their stores, so they are a good one to check out. Enjoy the search.

@Mandy thanks for the comments. I never thought of moving the dresser. I initially put it in the corner to save space but I think it can work against the back wall of the room as you suggested. I will make some changes tomorrow and post my progress!

I actually really like that mirror. It ties well to the room and your bedding. I don't think it's in the right place. I would flip it horizontally and place it centered on the wall that currently has that peacock feather painting. A bench seat would be perfect under the mirror as well.

I would also lose the stars. The color may match but they are saying something very different from the rest of your space. And in the competition...the stars seem to lose. The rest of the room is a lot more contemporary and modern, I would flow with that.

I would get rid of the zebra chair and replace it with a bench seat.

It's definitely a good idea to move furniture around to see if it looks better rearranged. I think the dressed may be too small to look right on that wall. But maybe if it is to one side, facing the bed...with the mirror and a bench seat filling the other 2/3's of the space on that wall...it could pull together perfectly. ;)

BTW, I like your lamp, it's cute. Fits well here too.
