My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

How can you have a cooktop on the island without a hood?

    This cooktop appears to have a pop-up downdraft behind it, but a hood or any vent specifically for the cooktop is not required.

    International Residential Code (International Fuel Gas Code)

    G2425.8 (501.8) Appliances not required to be vented.

    The following appliances shall not be required to be vented:

    1. Ranges.

    2. Built-in domestic cooking units listed and marked for optional venting...
