We have a local hippies with vein and it's a good parent. But the pistils are red. I guess this hybrid might be children of it. Here it is :)

I also have a children of the above local hippie with Apple Blossom and it's also lovely. The colour is deep orange and it is fragrant.

Are these others your crosses or are you just lucky to have such a great friend who enjoys the same hobby!!!☺☺☺

It's my friend's cross. One of them is agriculture lecturer and has deep knowledges of what she plant and teach. Another is a green thumb. I have my own cross this spring and hope that I can show up my own hybrids 2 years later!!

I join a local hippeastrum facebook group and have many friends who had many years playing with hippies. But only recent 3 years we can buy hippeastrum from abroad. Before we only cross between local hippeastrums. I think in the next 2 years we will see many beautiful new hybrids from them.

Hello Hans! (if I'm not mistaken), Retikulatum - this is only an assumption based on the fact that only a few years, according to Nguyen, they may receive other varieties.

Aulicum still transmits and their original form.

It depends matter which parent he was. But this is only my opinion.

I bought from the same hybridizer some new hippies today :)

Big hanging basket of Pat's H. Aulicum x H. Papilo is blooming. There are 6 scapes. Photos later today.

Pleased that so many of Pat's crosses were x H. Papilio and MV-resistant

Pat thinks he may have planted a couple of bulbs, so slight variations.

I've seen others from the mating of aulicum & papilio and they all seem to take on basically the same look, which I just love!! And to think that I had a couple of trays of seedlings from this cross (aulicum x papilio) and lost them all!!!

The three specimen as shown with the basket look quite different to me. The one sibling in the last picture shows very superior color profile and intensity AND superior shape AND three flowers on a scape, in short it looks precious to me, and the fact that HoustonPat gave it away indicates that he is suffering from the common problem that fortunate Hippeastrum breeders will inevitable have to face sooner or later namely "I am drowning in the crop" xD

Darker bloom is starting to fade, but 3 other scapes where I can get photos are prime. Here are their pics:
