Here's a rough sketch of how my fireplace will look (8' wall that vaults to 12'). I'm planning to have 8" colonial/traditional style base, 3" trim around windows and doors throughout the house, and want to have the plinth blocks on the legs of the fireplace match those that I use on the doors and entries around the house. The trim, base, and crown (smaller than what I have over the fireplace) will continue through most of the rest of the house that has 8' ceilings. I'm looking for a traditional, clean look. Lots of white. :) Would love any help available in picking the base and plinth blocks. I'm having a really hard time! thank you thank you!
