Trying to decide how to add overhead lighting in this open beam living room.

There is no option to add recessed lighting and I am not a huge fan of track lighting.

My thought was to add Belfer wedge scone lighting near top of wall in picture #2,3 &4; then also in opposite wall picture #1. Looking for opinions on 1. how far up the wall should these lights be placed and 2. how many lights per wall (I was thinking 3).

Then add scones, Lighting on the Square Bronze 15 1/2" High Wall Sconce - Style # 47342, on either side of french slider, picture #5, then either side of fireplace, picture #4. I am thinking of placement of 6.6 feet up the wall.

With that, I would have highlights on either end of room, medium height lights towards center (both sides), then I could add task lighting as I decide on furniture layout.

I would appreciate opinions and thoughts.
