I think it's pretty. But it seems more like a dining room buffet than a TV console.

I just bought a TV console from this place , and I love it because it's a perfect height for a flat screen TV and it's a perfect hybrid between classic and contemporary.

This is the one I bought but they make a bunch of different styles

I like it very much!! Seems like a piece you could build a room around...

'Slightly contemporary living space'. This looks very contemporary so it's hard to say if it will blend. It looks feminine to me if you are trying to find something in the middle.

i like the console and think it could look nice with a tv, but it is contemporary...

I really do like the piece, just not sure it would be the odd piece out. Yes, a lot of what we like is more sideboard then media console. I'm not sure about the height either. Sideboards seem more substantial to me then many "TV consoles" for some reason.

Tibbrix, I really do like the woodwave things...haven't quite sold my more traditional spouse on the reclaimed wood. Glad to know you liked what you ordered, it was in mocha finish, if I recall correctly. Do you have any pictures of it in place?

Here is another choice, similar, and yes, getting a bit more frou-frou.

yes, that's more frou-frou and i don't think i would care for it with a tv... (tho i don't care for it as much, period, so i don't know what those who really like the piece would think of it with a tv...)

LOL...I can't quite decide about that one either.

Here is another one that is more me, but he thinks it is too, well, "not substantial"!

I like the first one and last one you posted. I wouldn't hesitate to put a tv on either. They are very pretty!

Room and Board has some really nice media consoles, but they don't come cheap.

@Jubilante I like the second one you posted- a lot!

But I'm really curious about the space it's going into. What do the other pieces look like?

We bought a media console with 4 paned glass doors and shelves inside. That way you can work the volume controls, channel changer, etc on a flat screen thru the glass without having to open drawers or doors.

The Lenwood might appeal to him.http://www.potterybarn.com/products/9060331/?catalogId=17&sku=9060331&bnrid=3380801&cm_ven=Google_PLA&cm_cat=Shopping&cm_pla=Feed&cm_ite=Google%20Base-9060331&kwid=productads-adid^43832183251-device^c-plaid^93617631691-sku^9060331-adType^PLA&gclid=CjwKEAjwguu5BRDq8uSKhaKIzDkSJACQ7WJlS0R0Vw3yt6sOPQk4xvBsBrFTDaUq_SEuI1C9Rpff3RoCNSfw_wcB

Thanks for all the comments!! The 3rd one is Room and Board. :)

This is the main piece of furniture...

i think i like that last one the best! :)

I really like that last one as well.

Here is a pic of mine (ignore the scratched up pine floor! Really need them redone. Pine is so soft!).

I like the last one that you posted with your couch. The lines, especially the legs, mesh better than the first one.

I always try to remember as well, that a TV with all of it's movement and colours is going to be sitting on top of that piece. How do the sizes of the two of them compare and how big is your TV?

The TV is big...I think 60" I am looking at consoles 72" and bigger.

Thanks for the suggestions and observations, and the picture of the woodwave console (love the texture/colors!). I am sooooo tired of the TV on the floor! I am even more tired of looking at furniture. UGH.
