i love the stripes, but maybe it could be a mix of cream and pink? softer, less intense and maybe the stripes are just on the focal point wall? on pinterest, i saw nice ideas -i'm pregnant so i looked for boy room ideas- and i think you could get very good ideas. i would go for off white instead of pure whites everywhere in the room, love the olive color punch! it calms the girlie a bit! create little secret places for her so she can be creative and play with her room and get to own it. good luck! she's lucky!

First, enjoy these early years because by the time she is 3 she will have her own opinion on everything, so this is likely the last time you will get to unilaterally decide how to decorate her room. My way of saying do what you like and if you have to change it in 3 years worry about that then. That said, the two must haves for my girls' rooms in our new home will be 1)a pretty chandelier and 2)a window seat. (If you are building now, might as well put in a pretty light fixture and plan for the built-ins now). Here are some of my girls' favorite rooms on Houzz. They're not baby rooms, but could easily be modified for that purpose; it's really the overall decor that my daughters liked.
