I like the bold blue idea but more in accents.

I'm at the paint store. considering BM white water (2120-60) for main color, and for accent wall (behind gloss w white vanity) maybe 2135-30 (nocturnal grey)? or go crazy with 2014-20 ( rumba orange).

I am afraid of looking like I decorated for Halloween.

I would do all white...so classic.

You can always add a punch of bright bold color in your towels and accents.

Less color will let black and white and tile accent show... maybe you don't like all that contrast? but orange with black can seem Halloween....

I think i like the blue idea better.

White walls, with a combination of black and turquoise towels. Black bath mats, turquoise bath towels, hand towels and washcloths with color with the other color as an accent, trim, border or pattern. Shiny silver vases, cups. If you keep it simple, you can more easily change out accessories and bath linens.

You can't go wrong with classic black and white - having black floor tile already in there is a huge opportunity to go with a timeless look. This also leaves room to give your pops of colour (blue or yellow would be great) in accents like towels, flowers or soap dispensers.

White dove is a nice choice!

It's Merola 6" black matte hex porcelain tile. Available online from Home Depot, and I think I might have seen it on wayfair.com too.

Yes - 7 x 8 sounds right. It's actually symmetrical around both vertical and horizontal axes, so I can't figure how/what they're measuring, but it is the same tile.

They're not nearly as slippery as the gloss version of the same tile! In our house, we leave a large bath mat in front of the tub so no-one is walking around on the tile floor with wet feet. For dry feet, they have not felt slippery at all.

I went upstairs to look at the tile. My understanding of hex geometry is now much improved. They are 7" from side to opposite side, and 8" from point to opposite point.

Do you have any regrets with black tiles and dirt? I am about to do this same type of floor and am worried about dirt.

No regrets. The other full bath in our house has a large-format tile floor in off-white, with white grout. It's a very clean, modern look. I have to clean the grout there with a tile brush a couple of times a year. (Maybe I'm a terrible housekeeper, tho, your mileage might vary!) The medium gray grout in the black hex tile-floor bathroom never looks like it needs special attention to me. I took a few pics to show you - I didn't do anything but vacuum the floor before I took them. In the last photo I dripped a bit of water on the floor - didn't wait for it to dry tho.

Best thing about is the underfloor heating! Do it if you get the chance - awesome to have a toasty floor in the winter.
