My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Cost/sqft and can this be built on an existing deck?

I am very interested in putting this type of addition on our home. What was the cost/sqft? I just want an idea to start a conversation with our contractors. And if we have an existing deck, can you build this type of structure on that existing frame?

    Hi carolinew82, this project was a little unique as it was an existing sunroom and deck originally built in 1918 and the clients wanted us to update it. It already had a concrete slab so we didn't need to put any additional support except a beam for the porch on top. I would definitely have your contractors look into the possibility of your project needing additional support for the added structure. This project was completed almost 10 years ago so I don't have much information about the cost per sqft, but if you would like to know more you can give us a call at 603-898-0868.
