kind of depends on how much root room in your pot, what your local temperatures and humidity are, what sort of soil it's in... I water mine either every 3-5 days, or once every two weeks when I forget... it is very forgiving of forgetful watering. But mine is crammed now in a pot too small for it, in very well draining cactus soil, our temps are always between 50 and 80 indoors and we live in the desert so humidity is nearly 0 all the time (never ever rains here realistically). so this plant can easily tolerate nearly daily watering in its current situation, and it would just grow faster. Not a great plant for living outdoors unless it never freezes where you are (very unhappy if wet at temps below freezing)

Ok, I am probably waaayyy underwatering mine even now. It might get water every 2 weeks, before it was once a month. I took the don't over water it advice a bit too far. It is such a forgiving plant though, and takes forever to get around to telling you if you are doing it wrong.

I treat mine very differently when it's inside as opposed to outside. Inside, I might water every two weeks or so if not more infrequently. Outside, where it sits in some direct sun (on a HOT deck), maybe every few days, maybe every day when it's into the 90's.

It really is nearly impossible to provide a regimented water schedule, depends on too many factors..., sunlight, humidity, temperature, wind circulation, pot size, day length, latitude, etc.. It is a very forgiving plant though and is a perfect houseplant..., except for those who like to coddle their plants and over water and over feed them.

Thanks for the input, was curious how my watering compares with others. The plant is doing good, and I definitely do not do scheduled waterings or coddle my plants to death. ;) All mine are carefully chosen to survive some neglect, with a few exceptions.
