My choices would be Blanco, Kohler, Elkay. In order of ease of use and beauty.

The Blanco material is a little odd I would definitely see it in person first and make sure that you will be happy with it.

I have the little rollout dish rack laying across the top of one side of the blanco diamond super single and it's wonderful. If I need that extra height it brings everything right up to top of counter height.

I have been swapping out everything in my kitchen so that almost every item can now go in the dishwasher I do not do handwashing very often at all anymore.

Kohler has 3 or 4 'Smart' Divide sinks. I have the Indio. Smart Divide Kohler Sinks

Blanco Diamond also has a low divide.

I have the Blanco Diamond 70/30 split low divide in cafe brown. That is my first low divide deep sink. It is wonderful!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I am realizing after browsing through the different options you've shared that the 60/40 split is what works best for me. The small basin in sinks with more of a 70/30 split are too small.

Practigal: that's a great idea to use the rollout mat to bring up the height. I haven't looked carefully at the Blanco material in person but I definitely will go look again to be fully aware of what I'll be getting.

Joseph, I haven't seen and can't find that Kohler you have in your photo. Which model is it? I can only seem to find the Kohler Smart Divides in enameled cast iron.

ETA: I found the Kohler Vault in SS and 60/40 :) but it isn't apron front like yours.

Sherri and tea4all: Ohh... I somehow missed that the Diamond has a low divide option. I seemed to only see it in the regular height divide. It is definitely a contender! I like how it's a half inch less deep than the Performa but it's also a tad shorter, length-wise. I'll mull it over and decide which sink will work better for us.

Thanks so much leela4! I know Romy's kitchen and she's helped me out on a few of my threads too - duh - totally didn't clue in! Her kitchen and the adjoining spaces are stunning. The Kohler Iron Tones sink is perfect in her kitchen. I have to put it at the top of my list for its "pretty" factor.

Joseph: thanks!! Kohler doesn't seem to show that model on its site (either that or I just can't find it). I'm definitely considering the Vault as an option.

The only difference is it has rounded corners vs the sharp corners on the Vault.

So glad I posted this. Thanks to all of you, I've now got five good 60/40, low divide options. Will update when I decide which one I choose!

Also forgot... practigal, I couldn't stop running my hands over the Blanco sinks! I love the feel of the Silgranit! If I do go with it, though, the next dilemma will be which colour to choose! A fun dilemma though!

We love the Performa and we are both tall. I don't think we spend a lot of time at he sink reaching all the way down to the bottom, though, so haven't had a back issue. It is deep, though. Hides a lot ! (I mean, theoretically...)

We just recently went with the Kohler Iron Tones low divide 33" in white. I love it! We also purchased the racks that go with it, thought those were just for preventing scratches on the porcelain, but the advantages are it's raised the bottom of the deep sink a bit and it's level, so glasses don't fall over and you can stack a ton of dirty dishes on them. Also my roaster and cookie sheets all fit on the large side for washing. My longest pan handles clear the low divide. In the morning I can rinse my Vitamix container and set it upside down to drain on the rack in the narrow side, no more draining on the counter top. It is a perfect sink for us.

Did you see this one? Not sure if it is 60/40 or 70/30 but it looks great!

You could do a custom sink in stone and get exactly what you want.

I'm sorry I forgot to come back to update: I have picked a sink! I am going to get the Kohler Strive. I REALLY wanted a Blanco Silgranit sink because they sound so amazingly durable and the Performa is so massive. But the extra deep basins scared me. If my poor DH gets a sore back from washing dishes in it... well, guess who gets to do all the dishes then? ;) I'm looking forward to enjoying the 60/40 split and the low divide in this new sink! No more awkwardly maneuvering large items, or soaking only half of an item!

It is quite a few years later and still not many options for 60/40 with low divide. can you share how you like your Kohler strive 5284? rust? scratches and/or water spots?

I still love this sink. No rust at all. It is a very well used sink so the right side is very scuffed up. No major scratches though - just a whole lot of swirly scuff marks. The left side isn't as scuffed as it has that rack in it. I have soft water where I live so we don't really get water spots.
