I detest collars, try to find a halter, they are better on fur babies, have you checked out Petsmart or Petco?

Ninapearl, I hadn't thought about cat collars, so maybe I will have a look around at them. Christine, I agree with you about a harness and will certainly look for that also. Thanks gals for the advice.

There is NO such thing as a micro mini Westie Not even a mini. If you got one that tiny its probably the runt and not thriving .

When Carmelita was a puppy, I had to get her a cat harness because there wasn't any thing small enough in the dog department. Didn't take her long to outgrow it though.

Carmelita, what a pretty name

Thank you. Her breed, Havanese, is originally from Cuba so I wanted her to have a Spanish name. :) It's hard to believe she is the same dog as when she was a baby. This breed is very colorful then fades as they grow up - except for the black dogs.

Dexx, I bet your puppy is adorable. If you're having trouble finding a collar that fits you'll probably run into the same issue with a harness but GWLittle.com may have one of each that would fit. I would be a little scared about the collar though because with such a tiny pup it could get caught on something quite easily and hurt it.

I agree with Lukkiirish. When Carmelita was small, she managed to put her paw up and catch it in the collar. Luckily she did that standing right in front of me and she didn't panic. After that, my dogs don't wear collars in the house, but do when we take our walks.

Thanks Murraysmom, our 80lb lab doesn't wear a collar either.
