Does Floor & Decor sell anything of quality?

is all of F&D junk from china? do they sell any quality flooring? looking for laminate or engineered hardwood. i figured at least there i can actually see the boards in person.

Again, you are stating Floor & Decor put "Made in the USA" stickers on their boxes of laminate floor. This is not online and was not part of the class action they settled. If I owned F&D I would have some serious issues with someone posting something like this.

F&D marked out the floor was CARB compliant, which evidently it was not. They may or may not have known this was the case up front. I do not think that was proven either way. Companies settle things for the issue to just go away.

Just so you know, I compete with Floor & Decor every single day. I have nothing to gain by defending them. I just think the statement you are making is a little extreme. If the tables were turned, no one would be defending me I can guarantee.....but that's not how I roll :)

I've not seen any F&D floors that I would classify as inferior. They buy both US and domestic production made with their private label on the box.

It really makes no difference where the floor is made. Everything hinges upon the specifications on the front end for how you want your flooring made. The mills provide you what you ask for.

Even though we operate online, we send samples to your home so you can check everything out in person. We save folks a lot of money by doing business in this manner.

Floor and Decor products do not come from the USA. A simple search of their documents they filed with the SEC shows that 50% comes from China and the other 50% comes from other countries such as Turkey and India. They do have products that say “Made in the USA” but they are lying and have been caught before putting “Made in the USA” stickers on flooring from China.

They buy most of their solid smooth finished oaks from the US just as everyone else does. Relabeling with "Made in the USA" stickers is a pretty hefty accusation. Have you seen a lawsuit stating this or a news story?

I see that they blacked out "California 93120 Formaldehyde Compliant" on boxes after the Lumber Liquidators fiasco, I do not see where they put the "Made in the USA" label on flooring made in China.

What ax to do have to grind with Floor & Decor? You're slamming them everywhere they are mentioned in Houzz.

I keep up with what they have on the floor pretty constantly. I've seen some US red oaks in there just about every time I've shopped them. I'm not saying the vast majority are not imports, because that is their model.

You are saying they change labels to "Made in the USA" and I do not see that anywhere online. If I am not mistaken, a Chinese company with US offices was supplying them with the laminate in question. They may not have known the product was not California 93120 compliant, because I know for a fact others did not know it.

No, I am commenting to WARN people. Huge difference. As a consumer I feel it’s very important to warn potential customers of company that is being less than honest of their product. If anyone did enough research they can find out exactly what I discovered. Have a nice day.

I don’t care where the floors come from. I care about the quality. Amost everything in my house came from China.
