Just some simple ideas. I would de-emphasize the garage side of the house to make the entry the focal point. Consider removing the shutters above the garage. Remove the small section of picket fence on the left and add a larger bed with taller plantings and color on that side of the house. I can't really see the size of the porch posts because of the decorations, but perhaps if they were more substantial, attention would be drawn to the entry. I'd prefer a straight board at the porch and garage roofline. Maybe a lovely flowering tree in the yard on the left. The front door is difficult to see in the pics, but perhaps changes can be made to increase its presence. Good luck.

Also, you can start to de-emphasize your garage by painting the doors a darker shade, so that the white posts of the entrance draw the eye instead. Perhaps a gray from the roof.

Forget about dormers or a cupola as pictured above - the drainage issues if these were reproduced would never pass thru the hands of an architect. (The water would wash right up against the side of the building for crying out loud!). And the pitch is much lower than the examples posted. Start by upgrading the white blanks created by builder grade doors to something really gorgeous. (And take out the silly picket fence). Then put some $ into serious landscape design. After you've done these things the roof won't matter as much, and you'll have spent less money with no architect, building permits and contractors involved here at all. Best of luck.

The white is wrong on your home. It is a very impressive lovely home. How about building out the posts and make them hefty beefy..? loose the white little fence as it distracts. Think about maybe painting garage door and doors and trim Black...it could be a nice warm black to work with the brick. Dormers might work..an architect will give you some ideas on that. A consult won't be so exprensive and worth it.
