I have had some batiks run, so I would be inclined to wash them.

Washing together is not a problem unless you are throwing white in with a bright color like red or purple. If the colors are similar, together is no problem. But, batiks should always be prewashed as they can bleed depending on manufacturer. Use a "color catcher" sheet and it will show you how much bleed. If sheet shows dark color, I'd was batiks a second time.

I'd be sure to wash the batiks, especially the dark ones. In my experience, they bleed more than any other fabrics. The worst one I've had was a turquoise one.
