I agree it looks mid-century modern but I don't know the manufacturer. A lighting store that specializes in antique/vintage lighting may be able to help you.

As far as manufacturer/date, check the inside of the escutcheon plate, there might be a UL listing sticker with a date. I'm wondering what kind of glass shades were originally part of it.

I'll tell her to look for the sticker. I'm sure she's already watching for more "trash"! :)
