Casoron will have minimal to no effect against the bindweed. And repeated applications of Casoron are known to have adverse effects on established woody plants.

hi, I've had the same problem for years. I've puled them out which is frustrating, tiresome and ultimately a loser. The last 2 years however, i have won the battle - the judicious usage of roundup. Every couple of days i look for the offending MG poking under the fence and one small, directed squirt and you're done. It may also have had the effect of killing it back to the roots. because the problem isn't nearly as bad as it has been.

Now, let me state for the record, that I am not a fan of roundup but MG, english ivy, and blackberries have been basically eliminated from my garden. I use very sparingly and have had the same bottle for 2 years,

Bindweed seems to be endemic in Northwest Seattle. 2 of my neighbors have some degree of Bindweed infestation. I usually just walk along the fence and pull out any offending vines or seedlings. It's a pain, but there's no messy chemical involved since I'm growing huckleberries and strawberries nearby. Gardengal's link is good info. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get some bindweed mites from Colorado?

Caseron and Norosac has it's own set of problems if not used correctly. After sprinkling around trees and shrubs, a mulch should be put down on top of it. If not, it can be tracked by people, dog, cats, and raccoons where you don't want it....like your lawn. Our rains will leach it downhill into your lawn or an area with groundcovers and kill it even if a mulch is used. Also the fumes will burn the lower foliage of shrubs if no mulch is used to cover it.

Crossbow works better on Morning Glory than Roundup. If you don't want to use a spray, then a fork is better than a shovel.

Where do you buy Crossbow? i don't think I have seem them in HD or Lowe's.

If you can't find crossbow, roundup will work

In Lowe's or HD look for brush killer or blackberry killer they contain the same ingredient as Crossbow which is triclopyr.

i have done glass jar and round up. I used baggies as well, and then put that in a container in case it leaked, It did not leak. Worked the best for me.
