German Chamomile dying

I really have no clue on this one. I came out a week ago and it started yellowing it's leaves and wilting. History: grown from seeds indoors. Transplanted outdoors in shade together but far apart in a large pot. Top growth stopped after a while so I transplanted them to this smaller pot. Still in shade. Things went well for a while until I saw wilting. I worried the roots were drowning since there hasn't been sun for weeks (just cloudy) and the dirt looked wet for about 2 weeks straight so I set it out in the "sun". The dirt finally dried yesterday because there was actual sunlight. I checked out the roots on the sicker looking one and they looked moly fine. Saw a lot of white ones. I put it back but they still seem to be getting worse. The dirt is wet right now because it rained last night. I put them out I'm the full sun to dry again. Should they be in full sunlight? Why are they dying?
