New Roof Color

Need help picking a new roof color - the current roof is black/grey and that was put on when the house was still white (prior to us buying it). We have to put a new roof on the house this year and our color options are pretty basic but I am thinking black is no longer the way to go with the tan color. Our door is dark barn red, and I am thinking about putting shutters on as well. Needs suggestions for roof and shutters please. The picture of the christmas lights is the most recent.

You could go brown since you house is now tan. Black also works with tan!

"Weathered wood" GAF HD Timberline shingles. You can google it and take a look. With your Mansard roof a lot of shingles show. This is brown grey color that would work well with your home exterior color. The HD create a bit of texture which also would enhance your look. I agree with previous comment on shutters. I would suggest some interesting landscaping up to and beside your front entry would really dress things up. Shutters would make for a cluttered look. Your windows are fairly close to each other, so I don't think that would work well. Squaring up your garage door opening is no simple project, so I would think hard about that. It would bring consistency to the look which I think was behind suggestion previously. You have good start with the exterior paint color so good luck.
