We are building this poorhouse to look like a barn. We have reclaimed barn wood at the interior siding and stone fireplace and stamped concrete to look like old wood. Our problem is should we stain or paint the pine undercladding? The beams and post are cedar and getting the pine to match the cedar stained is difficult, plus it may be too dark. Thinking a whitewash or off white paint would brighten the area up. Thoughts? need decision ASAP!
