Blank wall in between window and main door.

Hi!

im in the process of adding furniture to our living room. We have moved into this townhouse a few months ago and need help decorating the walls. We bought the big pieces of furniture, sofa and chairs but now i need help filling the walls with mirrors, art, plants etc. I have this blank wall in between our sofa and a console table (there is a bench now but we now that bench needs to go somewhere else) and also there is another blank wall in between the window and main entrance. We have placed a picture on top of our sofa that we will frame hoping it could seem to appear larger than it is now. Your help will be greatly apprecciated. Thank you!!!

ok, the mirror is too big for the console table. and the art over the sofa is too small.

there are a couple things you might try, take some of the stuff off the console table its over crowded.

have you tried grouping the chairs across from the sofa?

try the art over the console, the mirror might need a new home.

consider maybe floating shelves.

try the console behind the sofa

start to bring some color, blue, yellow, orange....

A small table by the front door would provide a nice drop zone for keys, purse, mail, gloves, etc.

Not totally sure this wouldn't look hodgepodge, but the brown bench - would that look ok and serve a purpose to left of door, with beachy basket on top?

But I did like the pshopped wall of shelves someone posted - for above the bench - a paint or wallpaper on the 1 wall ? or 2 including behind the mirror?

What does that wall lead to? how wide....

Thank you all for your ideas!!! I know the art its small for the size of the sofa, any recommendations on how to make it feel less ackward. Maybe adding scones, similar art to the sides, getting a second piece of art and put it right next to it. This piece has meaning to us since it remind us of the pacific ocean from Lima, Peru. Hubby and I we are both from Peru. Thank you Patricia would love that too but you cant really see it from the picture (pano pic) the console is a little too large for the wall right next to the main door, however as sootsprite recommended, a small table would be a good option, with some decor on top of it.

Thank you everdebz, current photos show the art unframed, i think adding the frame will not have much impact on the size as well, i was hoping it would look more put-together, but dont know how to make it look bigger, suggestions? Would love to keep it, i could care less about the mirror, its boring i know, but i do like mirrors on too of consoles, another design maybe? The bench does not need to stay, i will place it next to the door and see how it looks.

This wall is not that big, i think a tall accent table could work, should i add a mirror? Would it be too much?

I see, about your art, and I'll try to find the photo-idea of identical mirrors, of correct proportion, on each side of art....

if not a basket, what about your own tray on the bench? If I'm correct that there are 2 tables in the entire area, a 3rd would seem too much to me....
