on the half wall near the entryway. I may lose a chair though. The one unit is only 12" deep. So it won't take up much real-estate in the room.

I had an entertainment center in my small den. It was too big. I think the entertainment center you picked, will be too big for your room. Perhaps you can take down the pony wall, and that will open up your living room.

Mirror, art, and sconces are too small: they're being overwhelmed by the sofa.

I have one very similar to your first one in our family room. It sits in a nook so it doesn't protrude into the floor space. Are you able to have cloth instead of wood inserts for doors? If so, you could hide external speakers there. TV speakers are usually pretty lousy so I have external A/V systems on both of ours. It's nice not to give up floor space by having the R&L speakers hidden in the cabinet.

I think both entertainment groups are too big and will dominate your room. If I walked into your home, it would be the first thing to see and would command attention. I encourage you to consider something like a good looking console, floating shelves, and cap the arrangement with a kind of pediment.

I would take down pony wall and put same floor throughout. The sofa would then float, facing wall unit. I prefer first one.

Gosh, thank you for the comments! I have to agree with the entertainment unit possibly taking to much visual space in the area. I agree with removing the short wall and adding the same flooring. I'd love to have wood flooring throughout and have a nice big area rug in the living area.

Two more frames helped a little - paint shop, and I decorated the dining table a little to. Still plan to do the flooring, hope I can have someone like Empire come out and match the existing flooring, and taking the half wall out. Looking forward to a new rug too.

Oh, I forgot, my beige curtains that I have on order will be arriving soon, I will be hanging them at 92", so I ordered 95" and will have to hem them. I'm also cutting and making my own curtain rods, which will be 14" wide, short rods with decorative ends. Still deciding on the color for the rods and ends, I'm thinking a golden brown.

I think that the first entertainment center would look best! The space would have to be larger in order for the second one to looks good! Overall, love the living space!
