Looks like a metal finish that could blend....think you liked the Roxbury earlier. Another consideration for this one is that the seam would not be visible like it would in some of the other drums with fabric shades...

In the meantime, I was thinking over ordering these. I saw them in JCP, but they didn't have the length I wanted in the store. My windows are 32 inches wide and 23.5 inches apart. If I bought the panels that were 25 inches wide, would that be sufficient? Next size up is 37.5 inches. I wanted to use those ring tabs with this so they slide easy for opening and closing. Thoughts?

Hope you are making good progress on your chairs. Is there going to be a space between the two panels in the middle? Are you intending that the drapes close or would they be stationary panels?

Probably stationary since I have blinds. The space in the middle will be covered as I'm doing on long rod.
Lucky me, I had friends that needed a favor today and then they came over and helped me cover these. I am done.

I am! Its still there though...I just covered on top of it! So, I'm sitting her wondering whether I just want to update the chandelier and add some molding to the windows (no blinds)....not sure. Would definitely depend upon the cost to do such. I am starting to feel like a drum may be to plain for this room since the picture/chair combination is so calm. I like the idea of the one you posted earlier with several heads on it, but that version (although nice) is way too "classic/timeless" for my taste. I've been looking to see if I can find something a bit more contemporary/modern.

Oh that light is very heavy looking in person....My neighbor in MI had it over her kitchen table it really looked like a hot mess...and 2 small pendants over her island..it is very low on my list...you will grow tired of the heavy look quickly:(..take this as a review and honestly just trying to help..and it ts very yellow gold too!

I zoomed in on pendent, it's NOT solid gold. It's tones of gold/lighter. It's very pretty.

Maybe keep looking for chandelier. Most of the suggestions so far don't "sing." Or maybe the third of those suggested by grover. Agree that gold tones are right for the room and art.

So I really do like the light -- especially Grover's depiction. However, the true test is whether I would like it in person because it depends on the room and whether it is too heavy to mix with other metals in the space. For instance, when I look at it in this particular room (customer on overstock that bought it) it looks like a deep yellow gold instead of a gold tone. Thoughts? I can see how something with gold will really well in the space (thank several of you for pointing me in that direction). Now considering a movement towards a gold tones, would I go with a dark rod if I did curtain panels? I love mixing metallics is why I ask.......

Also, I'm concerned that anything too calm would bore me. I would like something that can make a statement since everything else in there is relatively serene. I'm not going for anything timeless or classic.

Found a few more in your price range and nice sizes...I think you can still consider silver finishes mixed with gold.....

No matter what you pick it is looking really good:) I know we talked about doing off white drapes but I think you really want to give this room a bit of an edge with lighting and the art you have picked...I would consider looking at some subtle patterned drapes..still can be neutral in color but with some kind of movement in them...just a thought:))

These are great options. The chandelier I have now is 19.5, so I definitely want to go larger. Sad part is I purchased that myself years ago.... (serious face).

So hard finding a wide fixture that is not to tall....also keep in mind the fixture you have now is a triangle shape so the widest point is just that top rim...a fixture that is entirely 19"-20" wide will appear much larger and the proportions will work just fine with your table.

However, what looks like gold may simply be a reflection off a white inside (something Ann found out when she ordered the RH funnel pendant).

I think I prefer an embellished drum to a bowl or the lights sticking out that Holmes suggested.
