Gray with red trim

Monochromatic. The form and landscape are the stars, you have no features designed to be accented with paint.

Seriously fab house! A tiny bit of me imagines the windows outlined in black or super dark black/brown. I would be terrified to mess it up if it was my house. I would surely chicken out and try to add color to the landscape instead. Or pot lights to accent the walls at night.

what about a black stain on the body and paint the windows red?

I agree, it is a gorgeous house and I too wouldn't change a thing if it was my house. The only thing I might do is add two large urns/pots with flowers. But if you do really want a change - paint the front door red and add a water feature near the walkway.

What is the current finish on the siding? Is it cedar?

Dark greyish blue and black trim, but then you would have to change the roof color to match. It is a beautiful as is.

First of all, LOVE the house. I think it depends on your style. A gray or cooler color would be more contemporary where as a warmer brown, tan family would be rustic or casual. Personally, I favor warm tones for your house. You could do a warm tone but add major color with your trim, maybe red.

If its natural cedar, won't you be going from minimal siding maintenance, to ongoing painting?

I would stick with natural, warm colors to match your setting, style of your home, and warm brown roof. If you want a change, try a grayish green or taupe with darker olive trim. Or any shades of tan/brown/green.

It's already painted cedar so the maintenance will be the same. We were leaning towards gray and white but wasn't sure about the feedback from everyone else. Sounds like most say to leave it as is. We would love to change it to cooler colors though.

Grey would be fine but no white. Find a warm ( versus blue) grey so your roof doesn't clash.

Can you upload a larger/clearer shot like the first one. It's too small and blurry to work really well for color manipulation. EHMpros suggestion of monochromatic is best, and the roof is red so it narrows the options somewhat.

If its already painted that's different. If you don't like brown, go dark grey or dark blue, as long as you're not in a hot area, then go light.

The landscape has changed over the last 6 month due to a change in ownership. The last owner was a landscape architect. I work in HR so we have had to scale back in some of the exotic plants so due to balancing out our own sanity. lol....So that is the difference in the few potted plants. I will work on getting a new photo tomorrow to upload. We are in the Orlando area so to say it is "warm" is an understatement. Is there a way for us to upload a photo to a program and check out our house in different colors? Thanks again for everyone's help.

Cedar would be beautiful with gray. I would do dark.

I agree with Ellsworth-Hallet - a warm gray or greige would work great with your roof color and the landscape. Look at Sherwin Williams SW 7051 Analytical Gray or SW7052 Gray Area which have a slight green undertone. I would not go any darker than Gray Area, which has a LRV 39 for heat absorption. You could us SW7050 either full strength or cut 25%-50% for the trim instead of white. Love the windows on the front of your house. What direction is the sun on the face of the house?

Shades of deep olive and bronze trim to blend with the red roof. If the roof was reshingled deep greige you will have more flexibility with the choices.

A really dark gray works with the natural trim

I think that the image you created looks nice - the gray paint with the original trim works well with your existing roof and gives a nice contrast. Living in the Orlando area - I would not advise going too dark with your paint color due to heat absorption issues. You may want to purchase a few samples of paint color and try them out (next to trim work) to see how they actually look outside (in the Florida sun).

i agree with kayleesmimi, the dark gray (it seems to have bluish undertones) looks so great with the trim.
