HOW FUN! Your house looks Hawaiian or Polynesian with the roof lines, like this one:

1. Since it doesn't look like you have much room at your entrance I would suggest you consider a small Pergola look like this for your "bridge":

This would frame your entrance really nice.

2. Consider adding wider trim around doors and windows to make them look more substantial.

3. Then paint the trim a different color, I like the light gray siding with off white trim like 1ST above pic.

4. BUT THAT ASSUMES YOU DO SOMETHING WITH THE DARK LAVA STONE - reconsider it. The current dark color contrasts too much and makes it pop or stick out too much, same with the garage stones. Budget-wise maybe too expensive and/or lots of hard work to remove? So, the alternative would be to CAMOUFLAGE!

CAMOUFLAGE OPTIONS:

For the chimney, ..at minimum, consider painting the stone lighter and paint the mortar even lighter to break up and give visual interest. Like this chunky chimney:

Or frame around it with the same siding, drawing the eye up, like this pic:

if you did something like this, you could add your last name initial or house numbers to the front of the chimney?

If it's not operational, you could frame a dormer around it:

Or add faux balcony, like a widows' walk--use the same railing as your "bridge"

Or as simple as a lattice AC screen and you could use same style lattice panels to camo the lava rock on the garage---make that look like a fence or extension of the pergola entrance.

Leverage your garage overhang:

AND then landscape THAT BALD YARD! ; ) Directly under the chimney between the door and and window, you need a tall shrub or small tree that's flowering with plants around it. And in front of the garage, I'd put a large curvey garden incorporating that large tree and take it all the way up your driveway and incorporate the light and other shrubs. Lattice panels against the rock--make it look pergola-ish, with lots of interesting shrubs, plants with texture--GO BIG, LUSH GARDEN WITH BOLD LEAFY, TROPICAL LOOKING PLANTS. I'd play up the Hawaiian style house with tropical looking gardens...not too much grass. GOOD LUCK!
