What is this bug?

I'm mainly doing container gardening. Since most of the plants are up on my deck I haven't had many problems with pests so far. But now whatever this is is all over my cilantro. It doesn't seem to be moving. What is it? Will it hurt the cilantro? And will it want to go live on the cucumbers, tomatoes of peppers on the deck, or on the pumpkins and zucchini down in the yard?

Yeah, agree it's aphids. Probably the most common garden pest in existence. Just type 'aphid control' in the search bar here for all sorts of info on what to do. Easiest answer is just strip them off with your fingers or hose them off with a stream of water.

Yes, Crystal.....aphids are highly damaging to our veggies when in large numbers.

Crud. I must have had them confused with something else. I look for bugs every day, but I thought aphids were more buggy looking bugs. With the legs and such, if you see what I mean. I'd better get my hose hooked up soon. I've been watering everything with a watering can.
