I'm in Hobe Sound and I bought a 25gal of what was supposed to be a tropical beauty peach. Instead I ended up with a Tropic snow peach! I wanted a tree like my friends (which he has a tropic beauty but instead got a mislabeled tree. WHAT AN AWESOME MISTAKE! By far, best peach I ever had and never tried all white flesh before either.

how cool! I love white peaches (maybe more than my own). what sort of products do you use on your tree? do you have pics of your tree?

Hey GB I'll have to take some later today. For some reason though my leaves are slightly wilted, not dry though. The leaves feel healthy but look sad. Maybe it's just too hot in south FL right now?? :(

I just got my tree I used shake n feed tomato fruit and vegetable feeder with calcium added. And recently used a foliar spray 10-15-10 with micros added to see if that would spruce up the tree but nothing changed. Sad tree.....

I have a tropic beauty and a tropic sweet. The latter is very large and not producing at all the former has about a 3" caliper and had given me a few peaches.

There are better trees to plant.

Gnappi do you prune your trees agressively?

I have tried both, pruning and not pruning heavily.

well from what I've read and seen, you have to prune heavy every year. keep your tree in an open vase form and also make sure you don't cut too much of the new growth as that wood is where the fruit grows. the old wood will not fruit. take out all sucker branches and any branches that cross or cover eachother.

Also for an update, my tree is sad I think from the heat. the tree is in good shape, I water and feed the tree well. the leaves might be slightly wilted BUT leaves feel and look normal

I've been feeding with both granular 9-4-12 with minors and then a foliar spray with 10-15-10 with minors. I'm in Hobe Sound FL but I'm very close to the coast as you can see the sand hehe. It's humid here but we did go through an unusual dry spell for about three weeks but I watered lightly every night to every other night. I planted my tree back in Jan 2016 and it was very tall (12+ft) with vertical growth so I cut it way back while it was still in dormancy to six ft. I do not know how old my tree is but it was in a 25 gal pot... the leaves have bounce back a little as you can see in the photo from rain and foliar spray that it seems to like.

Been there, done that The peaches I have gotten over the years were small and not sweet... definitely nit worth the effort.

The wood makes great smoke wood.

Hey gnappi which variety did you have? mine may not be so big but MAN they are super sweet and juicy and great flavor!! Also the white flesh is pretty neat!

germanboi, cool info. I think I came across it before... But I'll tell you, if you follow the instructions, your trees will be great happy producers. I know my tree is happy I just have to pamper it more because of the heat and sand in my yard.

Mulch the hell out of it and I use Sevin dust every now and then to control the ants, etc. Every three weeks or so during growing season, I'll apply some water soluble Miracle Gro and a tablespoon of fish emulsion per couple gallons.

I have three tropic beauties and one tropic snow. Great large peaches. I have them setup in espalier on the side of the house. About a year or so in the ground, and got about a dozen or so large beautiful peaches -- Tropic Snow was really sweet! There are two running Purple Possum passion fruit running in trellis behind them, so it's a bit difficult to single out the peaches I suppose running along the espalier wires -- trying to max out my growable space on my average size lot.
