First of all, beautiful space -- great job! I would suggest staying away from Navy Blue for lack of contrast, but an accent color would be nice. Something in a mid tone and a more warm hue perhaps? Nice work!

Navy blue would go well with your room. If your thinking of a painting above couch, I would purchase first then pull color from it for accent. Pillows, throws and accessories.
Need coffee table or end tables with lamps. Post when done.

Would center the cabinets beside the fireplace under the lights. Because you have not end tables, consider a coffee table in lieu of ottoman or at least a storage ottoman with a reversible lid that could be used as a coffee table as needed.

Would add some color with the window coverings -- consider adding some cobalt blue or burgundy. Use a double rod so you can add sheers and keep the drapes open for maximum natural light in this room made dark by the fireplace accent wall.

Would avoid clutter, adding only one large art piece on the wall for above the sofa on the wall across from the windows.

No more gray. You need a patterned or geometric rug with some of that blue and gray in it to connect the elements of the room. You can add a little more blue in accessories and art, some softness in fabric-covered pillows and soft throws, light fixtures at various levels, and a mirror or two to bounce some of the light and color around the room. Plus you need some white (lamp shades, accessories) for contrast.

Navy and grey = conservative, maybe even manly. But you're adding glam, slam!

Draperies and pillows can be in the same or coordinated fabric. And you need a narrow coffee table about the same height as the sofa seats, and end tables (maybe glass tops) to put lamps and accessories on. Make sure you measure the space between the sofas....you need space to access the seating, so the coffee table needs to be narrow enough to leave about 18" inches between the table and the sofa on both sides.

Not saying you need another chair, but I could see playing up the beautiful floor with a grey/beige chair. Warmth of wood too. In a way you have plenty good going on - I'd do combinations of what you already have.... I think it's because of the dark accent wall. [If it weren't that prominent, maybe you'd need more going on.]

The room is coming along nicely. Navy would be a good color to include anywhere except for any pieces on top of the mirrored chests since there would be no contrast with the fireplace wall. Some navy in the rug, pillows, and artwork would look nice.

Michelle, Not sure where you live in NL but I suggest NL canvas for some large scale art. They do gorgeous canvases of Newfoundland scenery which would great in your space. You can order through their website. Also pier one has velvet (or the look of velvet) cushions in lots of colours that would add some texture. I have silver/grey ones and a dark purply grey as well and they both have held up great. For your mirrored tables how about stacking some b&w coffee table books (flat) on top with a few framed family pictures to personalize the space. One last thought I had was if you could fit 2 chairs across from the fireplace that would be a great set up. That is the layout I have in my family room and it works really well. I am also in NL and my fireplace is also always on haha. Good luck the room is beautiful so far.

Your room is gorgeous! What about a big glamorous mirror over the sofa to reflect the view in the window across from it instead of artwork? (Depending on the view..). Maybe a narrow oval coffee table to add another shape to the room? Some geometric patterned throw pillows on the sofas would jazz things up a bit. Overall, your room has a solid tasteful foundation on which to build.

I disagree with adding any mirrors or additional glass to the beautiful room. With the marble, mirrored chests, grey colors, I would add some warmth to balance the room. First start with the area rug as it will be the foundation of the space. Choose one with a classic design such as a Persian or Oriental with many warm colors in it. Use that as the inspiration for the art & do go big. Add sofa pillows & other decorative accessories last to bring everything together. Idea for coffee table & it should be about 24 inches from each sofa:

These colors should let the rest shine. I'm editing to say the last poster's pillow has same colors [I think].

Though busy, a heather type rug could complement this den look - it's a feel-good friendly piece imo.

Put in a good Oriental rug. Remedy the fact that there's no place for any sitter to set down a drink or dessert. Table laps balance both the space and the lighting (so the ceiling doesn't become gloomy.

You are off to a great start. Your furniture looks like the right scale, although it would be nice to see the whole room.
I would suggest a nice large neutral rug, have all furniture sit on the rug. You can have a piece of carpet cut and bound to the correct size. Beautiful custom drapery panels and custom pillows for you sofa will make a big impact. Sorry, small ready made little pillows are not going to hold up to your beautiful sofas. There's a world of custom fabrics out there. Not sure where you live, but if you are close to a design center in the nearest city, go to a few showrooms. A good designer will have a workroom to fabricate your drapery and pillows. Then coffee table and lamps and some art you love.
This can be done in stages, you don't need to furnish the entire room all at once.

Wow, just need some accents with pattern or color, dramatic window coverings, round coffee table and this will be high designed room. Your choices have been great so far, just take your time. Great Job.

Looks like you're going for a more formal look in here, so I'd consider having some type of cabinet with sliding door(s) made to hide your television when not in use. See first photo for sliding panels that hide tv. It could even be something that has artwork on it. Also maybe a set of multiple pieces of art on wall above left sofa as in last two pics.

You have a beautiful, neutral color palette to work with. You can go with whatever color appeals to you. I would suggest first searching for an inspiration/focal piece to guide you. A picture(s) for the large wall would be a great start. Maybe 2 pictures side by side that ---as a whole---are about the same size as the window on the opposite wall to balance the room. Whatever art appeals to you....choose a color or two from it and run with it. Also look at colors you have in adjoining rooms or the rest of your house.....keep a similar flow going so they complement each other.
