The painters with whom I work all use Benjamin Moore paint and think it is a fine product. You can always get a small can of each manufacture's product and test it to make an informed choice.

I love C2 personally. I've had to use Ben Moore because my local paint store no longer carries C2 but I must say I'm thinking of returning to C2 paint for my upcoming painting projects. I love the authentic, true to life colors and simpler palette to choose from. Simply really love it, wish it were easier to come by.

We at Tri-City Paint & Design have just made it easier to get C2 paint in the Greater Vancouver, BC area. First location in BC. C2 is working on increasing their retailer network, I would suggest you talk to your local Benjamin Moore stores. I now carry both and they compliment each other very well.

Aura is the only full spectrum paint line of Ben Moore’s. I don’t think their color selection is competitive with F&B or C2. Their paint is fantastic though I wish they would up their game! I’m not going back to non FS colors except for floors.

Aura isn’t exactly full spectrum though. Ben Moore is fantastic paint if you 1) don’t care to spend the money for full spectrum, 2) need a color that looks identical on all 4 walls no matter the light. It’s engineered to be consistent, as I was told at the paint store.

To the contrary, full spectrum paint is designed to reflect light (hence no black colorant, for example), so it is actually meant to look different on each of the 4 walls. FB, C2, EM, Fine paints of Europe- all FS & because at least 6 color ants are used per color the price is much higher.

We have used both C2 and Benjamin Moore on 2 house builds over the past 10 years. My wife prefers the C2 colour choices. I, and more importantly our painters, give the edge to BM for quality. We often chose C2 chips and asked the BM supplier to look up the formula to match the colour. That said when we did use C2 there were no problems. Our experience was that choosing between the two based on quality is splitting hairs.
