My kitchen is currently being demod. I have about a week to make up my mind about something. So we are adding a breakfast bar about 4 inches above the countertop. Very similar to this photo attached. My problem is the breakfast bar wall runs into the another wall that will have backsplash on its entirety. So, what do I cover that 4" lip with? The same quartz as the countertop and breakfast bar? Or, do I continue the backsplash in that strip? In the first attached photo it appears as if they continued the backsplash. In the second photo they used the granite. Not sure! Would it look weird if I did the quartz then it connected to the wall with the backsplash? I hope this post makes sense. Would appreciate any advice.
