Do you mean that your windows are too shallow for their brackets? Good hardware should be universal, otherwise you're stuck with that company for the rest of your life. If you think you won't mind that, or if you expect these shades to last a really long time, then get the material you love, and add a cornice or a valance to cover the ugly brackets on your woodwork.

Or you could go to Mom & Pop's, get hardware that fits all brands of shade, with a material you don't hate, and then be on the lookout for a better one from another company, or check with Mom & Pop every year to see if they get something closer to your dream fabric.

Why not havr the shades mounted outside the frames instead of ruining the frames and as for barackets a lot of that depends on the size and material of the shades the brackets have to handle the amount of material

The tubes themselves are steel, and 1 1/2" in diameter- which is pretty standard. However, the minimum mount is only 3/4" to get a TSS bracket and roller shade inside, as it is a universal bracket- if you don't have that much at least, you'll split your frame. Do you have at least 3/4" of depth to work with? If so, the TSS bracket will work!
