Young dahlias are a bunny delicacy. I haven't had much success convincing ones that have already had a taste of dahlia to change their diet with sprays. Been there, done that, with multiple recipes and brands. The only thing that worked for me was fencing the dahlias off until the plants grew above two feet.

The plants should grow back from the tuber. If you planted from seed, I'd plant more and protect the tender leaves from the bunnies until grown bigger and tougher.

I've had the same issue. The ones I grown in a bed are immediately nibbled on. However, the ones I have grown in my recycled tire pots are never touched. My dog has minimized my rabbit problem, but they still manage to pull a few bites off here and there.

I'm a new Dahlia grower. I picked up a package of bulbs a few years back from the dollar General, and I've been addicted to these things ever since.
